The project began with a little sewing here, a little
there until we realized that we had developed a knack
for purchasing obscure clothing items and altering them
to become more wear-able. We are often referred to
collectively as “The Twins,” but we are
Stephanie and Monika, and we have decided that our
passion should be put to use in order to get a little
more out of what we love doing. Our mission is to
find clothing which would typically be deemed as vintage,
frumpy, frilly, or grandma-esque, and transform it into
something a young person can fashionably wear. Sometimes,
we even chance upon clothing which is already in a
perfectly wear-able condition. This store is our way to
pull it all together.

All of the apparel we sell is one-of-a-kind.
Prices are determined by the quality of the
clothing and by how much time was spent altering or
creating the item.

All photos posted by us
were shot by us unless alternate credit is provided.

We would like to acknowledge our friends for
taking the time and consideration to model some of our
creations thus far! Great thanks to Sammy (in banner), Maya,
Emily, Antonella, Sarah, Sam and Jackie.

Here’s some stuff that we’ve worked on aside from the Store.

A completely transformed maternity romper that proves how
everything has potential.

Originally a long skirt, the Bow was woven in and
elastic added to create a strapless dress.

These are skirts made from extra fabric we cut from altered
dresses. The excess fabric we acquire will eventually be
turned into our own handmade designs that will be sold this
upcoming season!

We found a pilgrim dress in our attic and as it was huge,
long-sleeved and unflattering, we altered parts of it to make
itflattering and wearable for us.

I couldn’t resist the bow I saw from Desira Pesta’s designs:

so I guessed how she made it and made my own out of
upholstery fabric scraps!

Originally a robe, Monika designed this and transformed it
into her own design for a dress using all pieces from the
initial piece.

A paisley skirt made into a dress. The ruffles were our addition.

Idea for necklace collage:

Originally a vastly over-sized nightgown. Sleeves were
altered to cap sleeves, the ribbon belt is also our addition.

We designed and created our prom dresses this year!
These were likely our biggest accomplishments yet. The
only patterns used were for the basic shape of the
bodice/skirt, all other details were of our own design.

This dress was custom-made from scratch, no pattern used, by Monika.

A long skirt Monika transformed into a dress with added low
back and cutout strappy detailing for the back, with buttons
up one side.

Fabric flower hair accessories are another way we utilize all
our scrap fabric, so be prepared to see these and more for
sale in the future!
